The Children and Divorce eBook began when I was in graduate school taking classes towards my 2nd Master's Degree, Human Services
Counseling, and at the same time going thru a divorce after 27 years of
marriage. Most of my classmates were in their 20's and 30's, still talking
about their parent's divorce as if it just happended, even tho they had been
children when the divorce occurred.
Then I started noticing that my adult children were exhibiting the same
behavior and telling the same stories as my
fellow classmates. After much research I found that there was no research on adult children of divorce. That is when I decided to do my thesis on this subject. The paper was called,
Going Beyond the Nine Dots.

Because adult children of divorce had never been written about, the Chicago Tribune and Daily Herald Newspapers featured a 2-page article on the subject.
As the years progressed and my clients finished their work, I kept on adding to the paper and giving it to the parents as a reference.
In 2004 I put together my first website and soon after developed the thesis into an ebook. Every other year it is revised and updated. The truth is, that the foundational principles are the same. Continued research shows that young children thru adulthood continue to experience the same effects and affects from their parents divorce. It must be the human condition.
In 2007 a very large section was added to help parents go thru the "mourning process" of divorce, for divorcing is a loss experience. Because of my fascination with quantum physics another section was added which explained how the energy that we transmit affects our children's behavior.
