This month we have talked about love, relationships and dating after divorce. Today I would like to close out the month with a discussion about taking care of yourself. Divorce can be very hard on your body, mind and soul. This assault of stress can leave you looking tired, aged and sad. However, you can reverse this damage by learning how to relax and pamper yourself.
Relaxation is going to be key to preventing the emotional trauma of divorce from aging you. Stress attacks your body and impairs your immune system. As a result your body is more susceptible to illnesses and skin damage. To help prevent stress from your divorce from making you look ten years older than you are, you need to learn how to relax and charge up your immune system. Meditation, exercise, spa treatments and relaxing in a hot tub with scented candles lit, are all ways that can help you to relax.
Another way to help beat the effects of stress caused by divorce is to pamper yourself. Pampering can be as simple as getting a facial or as elaborate as taking a vacation to an exotic destination. If money is an issue, then you can make spa treatments at home using normal household staples like oatmeal, eggs, honey and olive oil. Being creative with your beauty treatments will not only save you money, but it will also charge you emotionally and improve your inner and outer beauty.
Having children and being divorced is tough on your body. However, learning how to use simple items like intoxicatingly scented candles and soothing massage chairs, can help your body to recharge and rejuvenate your body and soul.

At times this can be hard, as our initial reaction is to become tense and contract when we feel pain or discomfort.
